Utah Winter Faire

Posted by Rampant Coyote on December 4, 2015

I’m going to be at the Utah Winter Faire today and tomorrow, signing books ‘n stuff. It’s a really fun event… lots of geek shopping for the season, entertainment, food, and costumes.

If you happen to be around Farmington, Utah, you can catch me here! Unless I see you coming and can run faster than you. Doubtful, in these big steampunky boots…

Take care and have fun!

Offtopic, but I rather like the stamina system in FK with regenerating part and non-regenerating part that only goes away with extended rest. It could even fix the jumping idiot syndrome in some games; if characters used some stamina to jump and some of it was non-regenerating, players would be less inclined to jump while running around.

It’s still there in FK2, although it’s a little bit more streamlined. But you still have to deal with short-term fatigue vs long-term exhaustion. The main difference is that it’s an automatic effect in combat – the higher your fatigue, the slower you get. There’s no manual or automatic skipping of turns to rest up.

No way! I was there on Saturday, I might have seen you and not even realized it! I had no idea that *anyone* from RMW lived anywhere close to here!
