GOG.COM holds a massive sale

Posted by Rampant Coyote on June 18, 2013

I guess it’s that time of year again…

GOG.COM No DRM Summer Sale

The “Definitive Dungeons & Dragons Bundle” would be extremely interesting to me… if I didn’t already own every single game in the bundle. In some cases, twice. Or, in the case of Baldur’s Gate, three times…

And Torchlight is free for a couple of days. If you don’t have it already…

There are a bunch of awesome indie games that are now 50% off, as well. Definitely worth checking out, if you are a fan of classic & indie games! So you, like me, can be the proud owner of more games than you ever expect to have time to play!

I picked up System Shock 2. I have the original CD, but wanted the GoG version since it is updated for the newer OS and I wouldn’t have to handle the CD if I want to replay it.

I still have the Wizardry games and Anvil of Dawn on my wish list, but they aren’t on sale, maybe on a daily.

Already have Torchlight (thanks to a certain bundle…) but got it from GOG anyway because of the extras. Not that there are that many, but still. 😉

I’m also not too thrilled about the sale, yet, because I already got most of what interested me in the xmas blowout (incl. Witcher 2).
I also have several games from GOG that I already have on disk but the incentive was to get them either uncensored (for violence) or in their original language (because localization often sucks MAJOR BALLS!).

It’s a nice marketing scheme: I followed the bread crumbs to Torchlight and, omg, Alan Wake and expansion are sooo dirty cheap! In a moment I was buying a couple of games…
