    Will there be a day one patch?

    [ducking & running]

  • Rampant Coyote said,

    Better than that… a day -1 patch. But you already missed it.

    So do you have any ideas about the minimum requirements for Frayed Knights? I’m wondering if I’ll be able to play it on my netbook(Windows XP) or need to run it in my Windows XP VM on my iMac.

  • Rampant Coyote said,

    I’m not sure on the netbook. It will need 3D hardware with OpenGL.I was running it (albeit poorly) on a 1.6 ghz single-processor laptop with a gig of RAM and a 512-meg ATI 3D card from 2005, so that would probably be about the minimum.

    The demo will use about 170 megs of HD space, the full version about twice that.

    Okay, here’s a quick-and-dirty fix while I try and get this dumb bug (which I *thought* I had fixed) sorted out…

    Open up the “prefs.cs” file and change the following values:

    $pref::Video::fullScreen = “0”;
    $pref::Video::resolution = “1024 768 32”;
    $pref::Video::windowedRes = “1024 768”;

    Sorry about that. I thought I’d fixed it – it worked on the machines that had previously had a problem with it – but apparently there are some drivers / screens / native resolutions that are giving us problems. Sorry you had to be one of the lucky ones.
