Three siblings who have begun growing apart as they approach adulthood soon find themselves bound together once more as their homeland is threatened with the destruction. As a vengeful renegade wizard attempts to resurrect an ancient danger, the three Vastar youth must combine their unique skills to stop the ritual and bring the renegade to justice.

Choose between Xathia, Danton and Julian Vastar, each with their own unique adventure and storyline. Then, team up with all three on an even greater adventure to save their homeland!

Vastar, by indie developer Exodus Studios, is an RPG based on the comic strip by Rebecca Long that ran from 2002 - 2006 at Drunk Duck Comics. Using the RPG Maker engine, it starts by allowing the player to assume the role of Xathia, Danton, or Julian Vastar, and play through an adventure unique to that character. The unique starting point based on character choice is an aspect that really impressed me with this title. Another is the attention to detail in describing various objects in the game.

The rich soundtrack was produced by composer Gregory Tripi, who has done music for television and movies including The Grudge, Drag Me to Hell, The Uninvited, and Ghost Rider.
