"Oh my god! Where am I, and why am I wearing these stupid clothes?"

Erin, a biology student, is invited to spend some time with her boyfriend Terry at his apartment. She thinks she is only humoring him as he tells her of magic headphones that he obtained the night before - headphones which he claims allow one to go deep within one's own imagination while listening to the sounds. But as she watches, both she and her boyfriend are pulled into the world of dreams... and nightmares.

Worse, she is separated from him across a gulf, and learns that unless she finds him, he may be lost forever - never to be seen again in the "real" world.

Across surreal dreamscapes Erin must travel, helping others "solve" their dreams as she tries to find and rescue Terry. Encountering dream glitches, fierce dreamcatchers, the powerful dream lords, and the revenge-filled renegates, Erin must master her powers in the dream world to prevail.

Dreamscape, from indie developer Aldorlea Games, is a surreal and wholey original departure from the traditional worlds of elves and orcs. The world has a bizarre logic of its own, but those who have played this style of RPG before should find the basic gameplay is familiar and comfortable. For others, varying skill levels and a tutorial mode make the game easy to pick up and enjoy.
