Torchlight: That's Some Tough Armor!
So my Vanquisher was in full leather ninja-style armor... and somehow this Daisy Duke outfit (with a metal top, I guess) was a major upgrade in armor rating?Reminds me of the armored bikinis in Persona 3...
Maybe that little metal piece is REALLY, REALLY well-armored. It really drives up the average or something.
Ah, well. She's actually upgraded past this again, with an epic leather tunic that is kinda like this but with more cloth. And is another 50% higher armor protection. Go figger.
In spite of the general silliness of the armor visuals, Torchlight is proving to be a pretty kick-butt game. I'm probably predisposed to like it because of the pistols, though. Something about wielding a pistol in one hand and a battle-axe in the other is just plain cool.

Heh gotta love fantasy female armor.
I always say the armor causes the baddies to stop and gawk rather than attack...hence "stronger armor."

I've bought the game two days ago and i'm really loving it. Something i didn't really expected (i bought it because i heard a lot of good stuff about it and it was 8 euros in Steam these days), since i found the supposedly similar Diablo games boring. But Torchlight for me is -so far- far from boring :-P.
In many games nowadays we see that the better the (female) armor, the skimpier it gets.
Must be something I missed in physics class.

I too picked up Torchlight -- it's a fun little game!
As for the armor... Well it's a fantasy setting so of course the armor is magic armor, right? Clearly all attacks are magically attracted to it, so there's no need to cover everything! And of course, the better the armor gets, the more magical it becomes, so less is required. =P
