Din's Curse - Screenshots Now Up
For those following Soldak's new indie role-playing game:

Yeah, it does look a bit like Depths of Peril and Kivi's Underworld. Are you at all surprised?

I'm excited about this one, personally. It sounds like its got more Depths of Peril-ish-ness to it.

Considering the "things might look quite different" disclaimer, I reckon I'll not dwell a bit on the look of it until it reaches a locked down first trailer state of being.

The graphics aren't our main focus. They are simply a gateway to cool gameplay which I'm hoping will be quite a bit different than anything else out there.

Somewhat apropos of this post, I wanted to mention that 1up.com currently has an interesting article about the future of single-player rpgs with some industry dudes. Indies come up a bit, but I think are given short shrift. Still, I enjoyed it, even if I don't agree with all of the opinions. Here it is: http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3176786
