Knights of the Chalice - Now Up To Version 1.15
Dang, that boy has been busy!IMPROVEMENTS IN RECENT UPGRADES
* Expanded tool tip lets the player know at a glance whether an attack will be affected by flanking, cover, concealment and other major effects.
* The game displays the chance to hit when targeting a ranged-touch or touch spell, just as it does for normal melee and ranged attacks.
* When the player wants to pick up an item, the party automatically moves towards the item before picking it up.
* At the request of players, the main text font has been replaced with a sharp, high-resolution text font.

The new font is easier to read but really clashes with the pixelated look of the rest of the game.
I wonder if there's an option for players who prefer the original look?

@Zeus Poplar: Sadly there isn't...which is why I've personally made sure to archived the earlier versions (all 12(!) of them) so I can go back to the old style whenever I want to.
On the subject of patches, the 1.14 update supposedly improved the AI somewhat. Not that it wasn't quite capable of kicking my butt to begin with... ;)

The AI really impressed me in this game. I'm note sure how much was simply scripted, but it's plenty devious and nasty.
This is a good game. I am holding my breath right now unlike I did with Eschalon and I am waiting to see if a mac app surfaces. I enjoyed D&D tactics on the PSP and this game has a similar experience without the 3D camera problems that annoyed me with the other.
I managed to freeze the demo by casting Web and clicking on an enemy to attack, then clicking on him again after becoming entangled.
He really made ranged attacks suck, both with his use of cover and by not including Rapid Shot.
While leveling up, I got stuck in the menus since the help menu for feats closes with Escape, but the character menu closes with right-click, or something like that. It wasn't impossible, just clunky interface.
Nitpick, nitpick, but I don't think this game is for me. It's amazing as the effort of one person, though.
