it's, uh, cute, but... there are many widescreens today, so I think it would be wise to produce backgrounds in at least both 4:3 and 16:9...
 

If I'd actually intended to hire someone to make wallpapers, then yes, different resolutions might have been a good idea. :)

This is stray art that can't be used for its original purpose for a number of reasons, so I'm offering it up as a wallpaper to anyone who wants it. As mentioned, this art is not in the game.

But with the exception of the logo, that's all I have of that art, in a flat file with background - and I'm no better equipped to try to recut it in different resolutions than the average downloader is. That artist is not doing any further work for me, so I can't get different versions.

No, it's cool, I'm not bothered. Just explaining why it was the way it was... and also trying to make it clear to anyone looking that that's not exactly what the game actually looks like.
