The Ultimate House
Some close friends of ours just bought a house in our neighborhood. We're thrilled, as we do enjoy their company, and it'll be nice having them closer. Unfortunately, all that seemed perfect at first hasn't panned out to be quite as wonderful as they had hoped. The dishwasher has been malfunctioning with a pretty massive leak, there is a snake nest in the backyard, the kitchen is smaller than they hoped, and they've had problems getting the Internet.

I feel for 'em. I hope they aren't feeling buyer's remorse.

I am kinda glad they don't have Internet right now, though, because then they might see the house they COULD have purchased, and then they'd really be upset:

Ouch, sounds like your friends are going through a bit of "adjusting". Hope all works out for them. Sounds like what is going on with my folks though they've had their house for about 10 years. But, within the last couple years they started remodeling the basement (ripping out carpet and such) and right in the middle of this they've gone through 2 dishwashers, the fridge is starting to go out, they had to fix the downstairs tub once because it was poorly installed and water was leaking in the wall. Now, they just found out the drain was improperly installed so water is piling up under the tub. And the ant problem seems to be a recent development too.

Owning a house is so nice but it can be a royal pain when everything goes wrong at once.

Oh, funny video too. Gave me a good and nerd(l)y chuckle.

How close is that house? If I lived by a house like that I would be friends with the owner(s).

Sorry to hear about your friends' house but thank you for the video. I needed a laugh today.

Great video! But what's the problem with a snake nest in the backyard? I've got snakes everywhere in my backyard (they spend the winter under the garage), and they're kind of nice to have around.

But maybe these are cobras, or something? :)

We have a snake that hangs out around our garden - and we're happy that it does. Keeps the mice away. But ten snakes might be a little much.

They are hoping that the sudden activity in the backyard will encourage the snakes to find someplace quieter.

Otto: Ouch. Double-ouch. I guess Murphy's law dictates that minor disasters like that have to stack up and occur all at once.
